Pastor Hal Russell

While serving in pastoral ministry for 30 years in 3 churches and 2 states, Hal has been one of the pastors at FBC for the last 11 years. As of 2010 his primary areas of oversight are adult ministries and pastoral care – along with the regular sharing of teaching, counseling and administrative tasks.
He is a resident of Salem County, NJ where he has lived for 20 years with his wife Cindy and their one daughter Shawna. Hal and Cindy celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in June of 2009 and have shared ministry together for their entire married lives.
Hal considers it a privilege to also serve with 2 outreach missions groups that are supported by FBC. He is a board member and the president of Children’s Fellowship of India, an organization committed to raising young orphans in central India to be godly men and faithful servants of Jesus Christ. He also serves as a board member with Michael’s Ministry, a local ministry dedicated to providing God’s Word (the Here’s Hope” Bible) to those who are in need.
Hal says that there is nothing he would rather be than a servant of Jesus and there is no place he would rather serve than in the body of FBC.
