JEFF EVERNHAM

Elder

Jeff was born in Indiana and had the blessing of being raised in a Christian home. He chose to follow Christ in kindergarten, and followed through with baptism in 6th grade. After living in several other states, he attended college to study engineering in Boston, and then moved to eastern Pennsylvania, where (through church!) he met his wife Donna. They moved to New Jersey with their four young children in 2003, and joined Fellowship Bible Church, where Jeff served as a deacon before becoming an elder in 2009.

Jeff is an engineer by training and now works for a software company focused on search and analytics. His strengths are bringing a pragmatic approach to the spiritual guidance given by God’s Word and Spirit…balanced by the discernment of a loving wife who immerses herself in the Word. Family has always been a primary focus for them, and Donna chose to homeschool their four children until they entered Kingsway Regional High School. Jeff’s remaining time is consumed with supporting his children’s passions for sports.

Jeff doesn’t claim a life verse, but does have a favorite (ok, well two): Romans 10:9-10.

"For if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
