Please consider donating blood, you could possibly save as many as three lives with one donation. The Red Cross will be conducting a Blood Drive on January 20, 2012 at Fellowship Bible Church. Appointments are every 15 minutes from 1:00pm to 7:00pm in the FBC gym. Contact the Red Cross directly to make an appointment online or contact the Church office to make an appointment.

Christmas morning is a wonderful time to celebrate the birth of Christ as a family at church along with the children. With this in mind, there will be no Sunday School or Adult Bible Fellowships on Christmas morning and there will be no nursery or Children’s Church during the worship service. We would like to take this opportunity to give our volunteer workers a chance to also worship with their families on Christmas Day.

If you would like to receive Pastor Phil’s teaching each day throughout the week you can do so by visiting his daily blog, www.philmoser.com. Once there you can sign up to receive his daily devotional thoughts sent directly to your email address. You can also access a number of encouraging articles that he has written as he applies the Bible to daily life.

The holidays bring meaningful times and special opportunities for each of us. Some of these opportunities involve giving. But many times, in view of all of the needs around us, things can seem overwhelming. Below is a list of giving opportunities that will be open to you this season through FBC, but we also want to encourage you with a way to think through these opportunities. First, please don’t feel pressure to commit to every need. Then look over the listing and pray. Ask the Lord for help in picking out one or two needs. Pray about what would be the best application of your funds toward these needs. God knows the resources He has given to us and how He would want them used. He knows that we cannot do everything—but we can do something! So may our giving truly demonstrate the love and glory of Jesus Christ this season. (2 Corinthians 9:6-15)

We encourage you to join us for our 2011 Christmas Eve candlelight service held 12/24 at 6:00 pm and at 9:00 pm. The singing of Christmas carols, reading of Scripture and some brief devotional thoughts will prepare our hearts for Christmas. This is also a good opportunity to invite friends and family who may be seeking the Lord at Christmas time. The service will last approximately one hour.
